BREAKING – Elon Musk confirms that Apple threatened to remove Twitter from the app store. Let’s dig into the Apple-Twitter saga.

I can’t say I’m surprised after I detailed how this could happen a few days ago. But now it’s confirmed.

Things always feel more significant when they’re legitimate reports.

So, why would Apple Ban Twitter?

This would be extremely detrimental to free speech. It would also create a dangerous precedent for Apple moving forward.

Elon also confirmed that Apple has stopped advertising on his recently acquired platform.

So what’s going on here? Well it’s clear that Apple is trying to ‘big D’ twitter, no pun intended. They are trying to assert their dominance and threaten Musk to see if he’ll budge on his censorship policies.

Basically, his censorship policies state that each political side (right and left) should have voices of free expression to Tweet what they wish.

This is of course within reason as hate speech will still not be tolerated. This report is surprising considering that hate speech references have decreased since Musk took over the tech giant.

Surely this cannot be the reason that Tim Cook and Co. are threatening to remove Twitter from the app store. Well let’s hope not at least.

Perhaps it’s a bargaining tactic to get a lower cost per click spend for Apple to advertise. Although I doubt it.

And good for Elon going public with this information. If the tech oligarchs and elite haven’t been paying attention, it’s that Elon isn’t going to back down. He’s going to fight on, like George Washington crossing the Delaware river.

In fact, Elon actually has a picture of that same scene on his nightstand (along with a fake revolver, a few cans of diet coke and a Buddhist vajra).
