Elon Musk claims ‘alcohol is poison’ in tweet storm

After Tesla Investor day 2023 wrapped up, we needed more Elon Musk content in our lives. It dawned on me that I had missed a monumental tweet from Musk about his stance on alcohol.

Elon Musk on Alcohol

Elon’s tweet about his stance on alcohol came in reply to a beautifully written thread on why quitting alcohol seems to improve all aspects of life except for having fun.

Musk refers to ‘alcohol’ as a legacy drug, meaning that it’s been around forever and likely won’t go away because of it’s popularity over time.

I agree with Musk that it is ‘poison’ but that sometimes it’s worth consuming if you intend of letting go and having a fun night.

However, since cutting alcohol out, I’ve noticed my life improve in various ways. I sleep better at night. I’m more productive during the day.

I’ve even found that I’m more in touch with spirituality when I refrain from the substance. The more aligned I am with my work and ‘purpose’ the better I feel.

Alcohol has no benefit toward that. Though, life shouldn’t just be about hard work. It should be balancing the libra scale to being able to enjoy yourself too.

So, is Elon Musk right about alcohol being poison?

Well sure he is. It is technically poison in the fact that it’s a chemical that makes the body work hard to eliminate.

The best advice on whether or not you should drink should come down to doing what’s best for you and your family.

Make sure to prioritize recharging and having fun, while continuing to become a better version of yourself.
